Even if Detroit ate 1/2 of Howard's cap hit 2,645,833.50 how does Boston make that work? Is Detroit sending Boston a solid pick as well & taking Khudobin back in trade for Boston helping Detroit out of their cap hell? What a joke.

I respect you report what you hear but I seriously question the validity & sanity of this source. Your getting hits though so I guess mission accomplished but your embarrassing yourself reporting some of this stuff.

Can't see this happening. Howard is under contract for two more years after this year at over $5m. I don't think the Bruins will want to be spending over $12m on their goaltending. I think they will stay with the Rask-Khudobin tandem until the end of next season. Either Subban or McIntyre will then backup Rask, and McIntyre/Subban and Vladar will be the duo in Providence.

Maybe it's part of a 3-way deal to land Trouba? Does Winnipeg need goaltending?

This deal makes total sense because everyone knows how the Bruins have been looking to lock up $12.29M+ in their goalies for the next few seasons.

sorry guys and gals, the quote button isn't working again. In response to the message suggesting a deal with trouba involved I don't see a fit. The jets are happy with helly and hutch. Pavelec will play out the year in the ahl unless another team comes calling or if a goaltender gets injured. We also have comrie in the ahl that may be ready in a year or two. The jets want a left handed defence-men because thats their hole in the team right now. We are set on the right side and trouba apparently feels at 22 he can dictate where he's going to play on the team (maybe he has a coaching career in his future I don't know!) but as far as I'm concerned, he can sit and personally I don't care if he sits all year and gets moved at the draft. his agent is giving him bad advice.

I see a fit with multiple teams for trouba, but I don't see Chevy getting back a left handed dman of a similar age and potential. who knows..... but its great to see the jets working well together, laine is a beast out there.

Are you kidding? The only thing crazier would be sending two 1st round lotto picks to a divisional rival for a disgruntled, yet very talented complimentary piece.. oh, wait
